Improving Science Education

Recent media attention has focused on the low scores that American math and science students receive on international tests compared to students from other nations.  Anecdotally, some UO students report that they are scared of science courses and dread fulfilling their university science requirements.  There are many ways that faculty and graduate students from the Science Literacy Program can engage skeptical students while concurrently helping to create scientifically literate global citizens.
