Duties:

Candidate will be a member of the Optic's research and development team. Documentation of experiments and investigations will be published per Moxtek standards Primary focus will be in the Thin films deposition tools and processes.

Ownership of sputter and CVD  Stoichiometric and non Stoichiometric film compositions SPC methodology for process control and intervention control including measurement systems Metallic and dielectric film characterizations Tool selection and characterization. Film passivation  Deposition tool maintenance and support Support the effort to develop and implement new technologies New materials selection and evaluations Antireflective coating definitions New chemistry requirements Film interactions within harsh environements Measurement considerations Training and coordination with other team members for overall project support Mentor for Process engineering or team support.

Qualifications:

Degree in Science such as optics, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science etc.

Experienced in a second processing discipline (etch, photo lithograph, Modeling etc).

Senior experience level position 10+ years semiconductor experience

Good communication skills

Description:

Evaluation of new materials/films including metallics, metal alloys, dielectrics and other compounds that can be incorporated to improve passivation/durability.

Specific Areas of Focus:

Analysis and elucidation of failure mechanism under wet and/or elevated tempature condition Development and monitoring of Aluminum passivation/durability  Related to condensation Micro-fluidics (capillary 'wicking') as a function of rib structure Structural integrity Performance stabiliity/optimization Chemical and thermal stability of passivation after adhesion New chemistry evaluations - phosphonic, silane, aromatic, stereo chemistry, halogenations Chemical performance and life time studies. Faiure modes and decomposition parameters Evaluations of hydrophobicity, measurements and comparisons Material and film interactions in complex structures and profiles Qualifications: Bachelors degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, material science or comparable scientific discipline is desired, Masters/PhD degree preferred

•· Seven or more years experience as a senior level engineer in a Research and Development environment

•· A background in semiconductor or related technical process/manufacturing experience is desired

•· Statistical process control and manufacturing discipline are beneficial
